ACTION ALERT!!! 9/30/2011
A local Marine family is in need of emergency assistance! The family, dealing with a 6 week old daughter in NICU, needs help with lodging costs and gas to travel to and from the hospital. Please see the note from the Marine (with permission) below and how you can help.
My daughter is 6 weeks old and is currently receiving medical care from the NICU in San Diego. She was recently diagnosed with the Neonatal adenovirus. This is a virus that can be very fatal for newborns, elderly, and any one that has a problem with their immune system. To any one that has a built up immune system it appears as a common cold. The symptoms for newborns usually start out with I mild fever and if not caught in time will turn into a dangerous case of pneumonia. We are currently staying at the Ronald McDonald house of charities. We have to maintain our permanent housing which is approx. 55 miles away from the hospital. Right now we are paying for lodging out of our pocket. We can really use financial support dealing with gas and lodging. If you can help us we will be very grateful and it will take a lot of stress off of me and my fiancé back. Thank you very much and god bless.
We are collecting gas cards, grocery cards, wal mart cards and monetary donations for this family. Donations can be mailed to Operation Help a Hero, c/o Operation Enduring Support, PO Box 80996, Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca 92688 or donations may be made online through paypal on this website.
PLEASE either note OES (operation enduring support) or "NICU support" to ensure your donation is designated directly to this family. Thank you for your help!!!
Thank you for your continued support of our military families!
- Please also know that your tax deductible donation with the designation of "Operation Enduring Support" will help us to continue to provide gift cards and needed items to these families and other families with emergency situations as they arise. Online donations can be made by visiting the donation tab above or through the Network for Good link on our home page. No matter how big or small the donation, thank you!!!
